Creating a Youtube Audition Video

How To Create A Youtube Audition Video

How to Submit a YouTube Link for Video Auditions

1. Record your audition video
Film your audition on your phone, tablet, or computer. Make sure the video is clear, easy to hear, and ready to submit.

2. Open YouTube
Go to YouTube and sign in to your Google account.

3. Upload your video
Click the Create button (the camera icon with a plus sign), then select Upload Video.

4. Add your video details
Give your video a title with the performer’s name and audition type.
Example: Jane Smith – Newsies Audition

5. Set the visibility to “Unlisted.”
When choosing video visibility, select Unlisted.
This means only people with the .link can view the video.

6. Finish uploading
Follow the remaining prompts and click Done once the upload is complete.

7. Copy the video link
After uploading, YouTube will provide a link to your video. Copy that link.

8. Paste the link into your audition form or email
Submit the YouTube link wherever your audition instructions ask you to send it.

Important Reminder

Please make sure your video is set to Unlisted, not Private, or we will not be able to view it.
